"Agentic Storefronts" is Shopify's new feature that lets merchants sell products directly inside AI chatbots — ChatGPT, Google's AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, and the Gemini app. No separate integration needed. If you're on Shopify, your products can now appear when someone asks an AI assistant "where can I buy..."

How it works: - Shopify syncs product catalog, pricing, and inventory to AI platforms - When users ask AI assistants about products, your listings can surface - Checkout happens inline — users never leave the AI interface - Orders sync back to your Shopify admin like any other sale

This is fundamentally different from SEO or paid ads. You're not optimizing for search rankings — you're optimizing for AI recommendations. The products that surface depend on how well your catalog data matches the user's natural language query.
